Rock Description
Very finely-granular, apparently dense and compact, black base, inpregnated with crystals of hornblende and grains of olivine. - from a dyke adjoining the Eureka Reef, Castlemaine. Note. -In some parts of this dyke there occur also large plates (up to 1 inch in diameter) of brownish-black mica.
