United we meet, united we stand
Let's all work together, we're Women of the Land
This time spent together has friendship to hand
We must pull together, we're Women of the Land
United we meet, united we stand
With dust on our feet, we're Women of the land
Be it working in the sheepyards or rousing in the shed
Or cooking up the shearer's grub till everyone's been fed
We're steadfast, true and caring, a backstop to our man
We're the foodbowl and the strength, we'll always lend a hand
Driving trucks at harvest time, with wheat, sheep or cattle
Or bringing home supplies, Farming truly is a battle.
Dust, heat and worry of drought and shifting sand
We pray and are sorry and work if we can
At last the rain clouds gather and drench the thirsty land
We all bear the heavy load, we're the Women of the Land
Milking cows at daybreak, in rubber boots and mud
Or picking grapes and vegies or fruit and bagging spuds
Advisors, carers, teachers, giving guidance where we can
In city, town or in the bush, we'll always give a hand
The Mallee gives such pleasure, in many simple ways
The stars we can't measure, the brilliant sunset blaze
The wildflowers are a treasure, the early morning haze
The chorus of the native birds, greet the new born days.
United we meet, united we stand
The hard times we'll beat and do the best we can
We understand each other, we'll always lend a hand
We must pull together, we're Women of the Land
United we meet, united we stand
With dust on our feet, we're Women of the Land
Be it working in the sheepyards or rousing in the shed
Or cooking up the shearer's grub till everyone's been fed
This time spent together has friendship so grand
We must pull together, we're Women of the Land
