Kodak Melbourne Memories - John Harvey, 1958-1970
This 3:04 minute digital story tells the story of John Harvey and his time working in sales for Kodak Australasia.
John Harvey started his career as a trainee on the second-hand counter at Kodak House, Kodak's Collins Street shop. Later John was promoted to the role of sales representative, first in Melbourne's CBD and later in country Victoria. John moved onto other areas of sales within Kodak before leaving in 1970, after twelve years with the company.
John Harvey was interviewed as part of the Kodak oral history project. This digital story is an edited extract from his original 129 minute oral history interview.
The images shown are part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, after the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
