Sep 1906 "A MOTOR-HARVESTER. - For the first time in the history of agricultural mechanics a stripper-harvester was on Tuesday last propelled by a motor engine. This was a Sunshine harvester, propelled and driven in full working condition by a Lewis motor. The machine paraded the principal streets of the city, and attracted great attention. Yesterday morning the same machine, with the Lewis motor attachment, proceeded from Mr. H.V. McKay's depot on North terrace, and without any equine or manual assistance appeared at its proper place in the show-ground. The possibilities which this invention have opened up are not easy to estimate, but it is certain that much will be heard of the motor-harvester in the future." [1]
