The morning room is one of 21 rooms in the dolls' house Pendle Hall. It was designed and decorated by Felicity Clemons over a forty year period, and each piece of furniture and fixture was handmade by her. She used books and magazines for inspiration, and to achieve a high level of accuracy in the design and execution of each item.

It is a large room on the first floor of the house, directly above the dining room. It was used to received guests as well as a place to carry out activities such as needlework, reading or taking morning tea. It was usually located on the side of the house that took advantage of the morning sun.

In the centre of the room is a wooden drop leafed table, with decoupage decorations. Behind it is a small wooden writing desk with a small stuffed seat in front of it.

On the left hand wall is a large wooden roll top writing desk, on which sits two candlesticks. Next to it is an elaborate decorated chair, with a gold upholstered seat. On the right hand wall are a matching elaborate decorated chair, with a gold upholstered seat, and a gold upholstered wooden settee.

On the back wall is a large open fire place, containing firewood, which is surrounded by an elaborate plaster moulded mantle piece and overmantel. On either side is an arched shaped alcove containing a set of five shells, surmounted by a moulded plaster starburst design. The shelves contain various pieces of a white transfer ware porcelain dinner service, including plates, dishes, tureens, gravy boats, and a condiment set.

Around the walls are five framed paintings. On the centre of the right hand wall is a long rectangular sash window, with a pair of green curtains.

The walls are decorated with moulded plaster decorations. A four branched candelabra hangs from the ceiling. The floor is covered with intricately decorated parquetry. Along the front is a strip of multicoloured parquetry, signifying a separate hallway, on which sit a green and black painted stand holding a white male bust (a matching piece to the one outside the library.)

In the room is an older female who is sitting at the smaller writing desk and older male who is sitting on the settee reading a newspaper.
