Summary
Colour photograph from an album containing a personal story of Julius Toth's immigration experience and a collection of 40 photo reproductions. Julius left Hungary late in 1956 following the unsuccessful Hungarian revolution and subsequent Soviet Occupation. He escaped to Austria where he spent three months in Displaced Persons Camps before migrating to Australia in March 1957. This image shows the family and friends of Julius and Julia Toth gathered for a picnic in 1995.
Description of Content
Group picnic in a lush rainforest setting. There are fifteen people seated or standing around the five tables set up for the picnic. Several esky's are situated at various points around the tables and three large umbrellas provide shade from the sun.
