Summary
Carnet - Cedula identidad personal - Gainetede identification. This folded paper, containing personal details, photograph and finger prints, enclosed in a small crimson leather case was issued to Australian Anthropologist Sir Walter Baldwin Spencer in Magallanes [Punta Arenas]. This was to enable his to travel in Chile for what became his last expedition. He died only a few months after this was taken, on Hoste Island.

Identity card. Small red leather case. Embossed on the front cover in gold lettering: "Republicade Chile Ceduladeidentitad Personal Gabinetedeidentificacion". Includes personal information, physical particulars, a fingerprint and a small photograph. Signed and dated.
