Summary
Collection of drawings, artwork, transparencies and copied sketches used as a reference package to create the Short finned Eel sculptures that represented Australia in the River Parade for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. 71 of these bundles were put together by Mothers Art Productions, where the 'Fish' sculptures were built.
The Eel bundle was collected partly because it was eye-catching: it includes the instruction "THIS IS AUSTRALIA'S FISH SO MAKE IT BLOODY GOOD MATE". It is also one of the few fish sculptures that were prototyped as scale models, and for which sketches exist. Thus it is possible to show several elements in the design and construction process.
