Summary
Model of a Longnose Butterfly fish made by Andrew Thilby of Mothers Art Productions. It was used to show Andrew Walsh, Director of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, the concept for the River Show portion of the event. After Ian Bracegirdle and Keith Tucker abandoned their concept for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games 'River Show' based around leaves, they had another idea. They decided to make a series of sculptures which depicted each country in the Commonwealth as a fish.
