Summary
Sword sling, which was worn by Robert McKeeman Oakley, an officer in the Victorian Artillery Garrison, from 1892-1901, and in the Australian Garrison Artillery from 1901. There are no identifying marks.
The sword sling was attached to the Sword Belt; a sword was attached to the bottom of the slings.
Physical Description
The leather sword sling is covered with gold ribbon. It has a rectangular, gilded buckle featuring two lion's head which can be moved up and down the sling to create a loop. The top end of the sling has a hook which attaches to the Sword Belt.
