Epaulette (shouldercord), which was worn by Robert McKeeman Oakley from 1904 when he was promoted to Major. Robert McKeeman Oakley was an officer in the Victorian Artillery Garrison, from 1892-1901, and in the Australian Garrison Artillery from 1901.
Physical Description
Gold braid epaulette with fabric badge. The braid is a simple knot pattern, denoting artillery. The embroidered badge depicts a red crown detailed in silver. The crown indicates this epaulette was worn with someone of the rank of Major.
