Scrapbook titled 'General Window Bills (Pre-War)' that was compiled by Kodak Australasia, Sydney Office. It contains10 colour gummed posters designed to be adhered to a shop window, which advertise Kodak film and camera products.

Advertising slogans include 'We Sell Kodak Film. Developing. Printing. Enlarging', 'Kodak film makes every camera a better camera', and 'It's right for Australia... because it's made in Australia'.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Rectangular scrapbook bound by red plastic binding. Front cover has a yellow and red printed sticker at top right corner. Cover and pages are brown card. The scrap book contains 34 pages. Some pages have gummed advertising posters pasted in but some pages are empty. The posters range is size from 90 x 252 mm to 266 x 740 mm.
