Summary

A collection of 27 colour and black & white photographs and a map key documenting the new Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd factory complex in Coburg. The album was compiled about 1965 for the Kodak parent company at Rochester, in New York State in the USA.

The photographs were taken between about 1962 and 1965. Many of the photographs were taken by Wolfgang Sievers, with some taken by Ritter-Jeppensen Studios. Three of the photographs are aerial views but the rest document the exterior and interior of buildings. The photographs are stored in plastic pockets with typed labels for each image, and held in the original blue plastic ring bind folder.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This album is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
