Summary

This bench-top electron microscope by RCA (Radio Corporation of America) was manufactured in 1950.

It is made up of two segments that are connected by a hose. The bottom segment, which is made up of numerous valves, is responsible for generating the electron beam and traditionally sits under a bench. The top domed segment houses the specimen that is being analysed. The unit is made up of copper, brass and stainless steel. It magnified objects by 6000.
