Wine label is printed in black and red ink and reads: "Irvine's Great Western gold medal London International 1873 Paris International 1900 Australian wines Burgundy. Hans Irvine & Co. Dowgate Hill. London, E.C. and Victoria, Australia".
Burgandy is a stong red wine. This type of label was attached to the front of tall, cylindrical bottle.
