Summary
Wooden clothes pegs in a variety of colours, they were used in travelling laundry kits at Simpson's Gloves, circa 1930s. They were found in a small downstairs storeroom.
Simpson's Gloves was formed in 1924 and produced leather gloves and coats, handbags, helmets and associated leather goods. The company first operated in Smith Street, and subsequently Alexandra Parade, Collingwood, relocating to Victoria Street, Richmond in 1928, where it remained until 1988.
Physical Description
Thirteen wooden clothes peg painted a selection of colours. Each peg is made prom a single piece of wood with two prongs forming the peg chassis. The interior of the chassis is unpainted wood.
