K.L.M. Royal Dutch Airline DC-2 aeroplane showing a group of men pulling the aircraft from a hangar. Buildings at Laverton RAAF Base are pictured in the background. This KLM DC-2 named 'Uiver' (Stork) aeroplane competed in the 1934 MacRobertson Melbourne Centenary Air Race from England to Australia. It came second in the speed section of the race and won the handicap section.
