Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as, film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005 after the manufacturing plant at Coburg had closed down the year before.

Description of Content

Streetscape with a road running across the foreground of the image and to the left, into the background of the print. In the mid-ground, a paddock is visible. To the left side of the image and in the background are suburban houses. Three cars are parked on the side of the road to the left. The first car is a 1953 Ford Customline, the second car is a 1940s model Ford. A man is standing next to the second parked Holden. A row of electricity poles run from centre foreground of image into the far distance. The main electricity pole in the foreground has a street sign: 'ELIZABETH ST'.
