Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as, film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005 after the manufacturing plant at Coburg had closed down the year before.

In the lower left foreground is an area of vacant land. Suburban housing is visible in the background. Electricity poles and wires run diagonally across the image. A delivery van and Holden car are parked on the shoulder of of the unsealed road near a gate. A man is leaning against the gate next to the car. A small street sign reading 'BIGGS ST' points to the factory site property, with a rudimentary dirt road visible beyond the gate. A pick-up utility vehicle is parked in the field towards mid-ground and to the right of the photograph.
