Summary
Baby rattle, constructed from a plastic flask brought back from a pilgrimage to Mekka. The flask originally contained holy water, and was made by a mother from the Ikenwen village, Tiznit Province, in 2006.
It is part of a group of traditional toys collected in the Anti-Atlas area of Morocco by Belgium Socio-cultural Anthropologist Jean-Pierre Rossie, during the period 2005-2011.
Physical Description
Baby rattle constructed from a plastic flask mounted on a bamboo handle. The flash is threaded with string, onto which are threaded two red beads.
