Summary

Toy truck, constructed from found material, including scrap wood, cardboard, metal containers, and metal soft drink cans. It was made by an older boy from the Ikenwen village, Tiznit Province, in 2009.

It is part of a group of traditional toys collected in the Anti-Atlas area of Morocco by Belgium Socio-cultural Anthropologist Jean-Pierre Rossie, during the period 2005-2011.

Physical Description

Toy truck comprising wood chassis, wood-sided tray, metal cabin made from soft drink cans, and metal wheels from similar cans on wood axels. Additional wood is mounted on the roof of the cabin. A black mud flap, cut into strips, is attached to the back of the chassis.
