Summary

Toy helicopter with blades in cross form, constructed from wood, metal and string. It is activated by pulling the string to propel the blades. It was made by an 11 year old boy from Ikenwen village, Tiznit Province, in 2006.

It is part of a group of traditional toys collected in the Anti-Atlas area of Morocco by Belgium Socio-cultural Anthropologist Jean-Pierre Rossie, during the period 2005-2011.

Physical Description

Toy helicopter made from bamboo. A stick extends from each end of its main body, with a cross blade on each end. It is activated by pulling a string with bamboo loop on end to propel the blades.
