Summary

Toy tajine with lid, constructed from clay and naturally dried. It was designed to be used in a play house, and was made by a seven year old girl from the Ikenwen Village, Tiznit Province, in 2009.

It is part of a group of traditional toys collected in the Anti-Atlas area of Morocco by Belgium Socio-cultural Anthropologist Jean-Pierre Rossie, during the period 2005-2011.

Physical Description

Toy tajine with lid. Crudely formed from clay and naturally dried. It comprises a cylindrical main body with a flat lid with pointed handle. The surface of the clay is very uneven and cracked.
