Summary

Toy tajine with lid, constructed from natural clay and then fired. It is filled with small polystyrene balls representing food, and was made by a 15 year old girl from the Lahfart Village, Sidi Ifni Province, in 2008.

It is part of a group of traditional toys collected in the Anti-Atlas area of Morocco by Belgium Socio-cultural Anthropologist Jean-Pierre Rossie, during the period 2005-2011.

Physical Description

Toy tajine with lid, crudely formed from fired clay. It comprises a cylindrical main body with a pointed lid. It is filled with small polystyrene balls The surface of the clay is very uneven and cracked.
