Scrapbook that was compiled by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd. It contains approximately 100 archival items produced between 30 July 1955 and March 1959.

The contents include promotional leaflets for Kodak products. The products and subjects include: Cinevox Premier Model B 16mm Sound Projector; Dental X-ray Developer; Dental X-ray Fixer; Kodak Blue Brand X-ray Film; Kodak Dental Processing Outfit; Kodak Intensifying Screens; Kodeak Liquid X-ray Chemicals; Kodak Photoflure Panchromatic Film; Kodak Tested X-ray Chemicals; Kodak Ultra-speed Blue Brand X-ray Film; Kodak View-master Stereoscopic Atlas of Human Anatomy; and, Kodirex X-ray Film. The promotional materials range in size from 125 mm x 145 mm to 280 mm x 215 mm. The slogans include: 'When you order X-ray Chemicals...be sure you specify Kodak'; 'For new light...on processing darkroom problems'; and, 'An outstanding Radiograph...made, of course, on Kodak Ultra-speed Blue Brand X-ray Film.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Physical Description

Large paper rectangular scrapbook with 93 yellowing paper pages plus paper front and back cover, bound with 5 metal staples, containing press advertisements. Clippings mostly glued in, some adhesive tape.
