Summary

Toy top, constructed from clay and naturally dried. It is propelled by a length of string wound around the bottom of the top, and was made by an eight year old boy from the Ikenwen Village, Tiznit Province, in 2008.

It is part of a group of traditional toys collected in the Anti-Atlas area of Morocco by Belgium Socio-cultural Anthropologist Jean-Pierre Rossie, during the period 2005-2011.

Physical Description

Toy top, roughly conical shape, constructed from clay and naturally dried. It has a metal tip. The top is propelled by a length of off-white plyed string wound around the top.
