Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
This scrapbook is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
Physical Description
Large paper scrapbook with about 103 brown paper pages plus front and back cover. The scrapbook has been bound with cardboard and white string. The book contains advertising clippings in black and white and colour in a variety of formats. A handwritten index in ink and pencil on the inside front cover lists the publications/contents. Page numbers and publications are written on the top of each page from pages 1 - 49. Pages after this are blank. All clippings are attached with glue and are still relatively well adhered. The promotional materials range in size from 282 mm (W) x 436 mm (H) to 130 mm (W) x 190 mm (H).
