Summary

Copy of a medal depicting Constantine the Great, Roman Emperor (c. 285-337). The original medal by Cristoforo di Geremia (active 1456-1476) was cast in about 1468. This two piece electrotype copy was made circa 1881 by Robert Ready. This two piece electrotype copy was made circa 1881 at British Museum by Robert Ready from a cast bronze held by that museum (Reg: M.41). The electrotype is copper plated and toned.
