Summary

Programme for the retirement of Keast Burke, a Kodak Australasia employee in Sydney. The dinner was held in Ushers Blue Room, Sydney. The programme, with a photograph of Keast on the cover, a humorous cartoon of him on the back and several jokes throughout the text, features an order of toasts (to The Queen and Keast Burke), a guest list, and a menu. The menu features several non-nonsensical, presumably in-joke foods such as Canapes "Horse and Morse", Creme of Toheroa Holtermann and Oysters on Shell Kendall.

This programme was originally housed in the Kodak Business Archive. It is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
