Summary
This sketch book belonged to Walter Baldwin Spencer during part of his time at Exeter College, Oxford. It includes sketches from around Oxford and views from the college but much of the works are a record of his travels through Europe. The album was given to Lillie Bowman whom he later married, Mary Elizabeth Spencer. A few years after Spencer's death it was given to his daughter Alline in Jan 1930.
Physical Description
Green cloth covered album of 21 leaves containing a collection of various sketches by W.B. Spencer, plus one additional sketch in the back unattached. Ornately decorated front cover in black and gold ink includes the word "ALBUM."
