Summary
Marie McKinley (later de Camara) standing outside the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd factory, Abbotsford, circa 1946-1950.
This image appears to be taken outside the factory building on the south side of Southampton Crescent, but the location also resembles the Plate Building.
Marie worked for Kodak for 35 years in total, commencing at Abbotsford, moving to Burnley where she spent the majority of her working life in the Powder & Solution Department and then finishing up at Coburg in the Photochemical Department. Here she is pictured in the early days of her employment.
This photograph complements the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
