Summary

Kodak Film Wallet manufactured by Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd for Anthony Hordern & Sons Ltd, Sydney, circa 1920 - 1940. The cover features a 'Kodak Girl' in striped dress carrying a small child on her back alongside the slogan 'Kodak As You Go'. The child is holding a folding camera. The inner pockets of the wallet are printed with promotional text for Enlargement services and N-C (Non-Curling) Film.

This is one of the few examples that show how these envelopes could be branded by different participating retailers and pharmacists for use in their photo-developing and printing business.

This object is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
