Black and white copy print photograph of Betty Silcock (now Betty Radstake) cutting her 21st birthday cake in November 1958 at the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd factory at Abbotsford. The cake was made by a Kodak canteen cook, Tony Smarelli.

Betty began work for Kodak as secretary to the canteen manager and secretary to the manager of the waste survey department at Abbotsford in the mid-1950s. She left to start a family, then returned to Kodak at the Coburg plant in 1961, where she worked as a densitometer operator in the Testing Department until about 1966.

This image contributes to the Kodak Heritage Collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
