The menu lists pre-supper, main supper, sweets, hot savouries, party pies and beverages available on the night, while the programme lists the dances including the fox trot and waltzes. Music was provided by W Drew and Dance Orchestra.
The donor Maureen McDonagh (nee Verdon) attended the ball. She worked for the Kodak Research Laboratory for 10 years from 1954. Maureen's sister Joan Verdon also worked for Kodak, in the developing and printing department.
