Summary

Foil made by Leon Paul in England. It was used by four time Olympian and Australian fencing champion, Greg Benko.
Born in 1952 to Hungarian parents Benko began fencing at the age of 12, when he was 'discovered' by Olympic Coach Mike O'Brien in a physical education class at Bentleigh High School. He currently (2021) remains Australia's best-placed Olympic fencer, coming 6th in the individual foil in the Montreal Olympics in 1976, and is one of only two Australian men, and the most recent, to win the open national title for all three weapons (foil, epée and sabre ) in a single year.
