Simpson's had an air raid shelter. A shield used by the Air Raid Patrol Warden was also found. Bottom of pump was placed in a bucket of water, secured by foot and hand pumped.
It was possible to buy the pumps from the State Emergency Council for Civil Defence, Victoria.
