Summary
Unfinished child's chemise of fine white cotton. Part of a small collection of clothing used at Emily McPherson College, Melbourne, as object lessons and/or demonstration works. They were made around 1940 by previous students of the college, handwork being an essential part of the course. The donor, Miss Findley, taught at the College.
Physical Description
Unfinished child's undergarment sample of fine white cotton (one cataloguer describes as linen) with wide flat collar resembling a sailor collar. The garment has flounces around the armholes and the top of the collar. Hems and seams are all finely stitched by hand and the back is left open and has no fastenings.
