Summary
Notebook used by Vincenzo Candela to record his clients' measurements. He had other notebooks which recorded his clients and income. After his arrival in Australia, from Italy in 1920, at the age of 47, Vincenzo established himself as a tailor, eventually establishing a successful 'Gents' High Class' tailoring business from home. He had a range of customers from Australian, Italian and Chinese backgrounds. He also worked on consignment for other Australians and Italians tailors in Melbourne. Candela learned the trade of dressmaking in Italy, most likely in Naples, a city renowned for its tailors.
