Box containing approximately 250 silver dental cusps or crowns or caps made by S S White, Dental Manufacturing Co., circa 1900. They were used at a mental health hospital, Lakeside Mental Hospital, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. They were used to restore the surface of damaged teeth.
Physical Description
Silver cusps for false crowns for teeth. Approximately 250 cusps set temporarily in a wax bed in a shallow paper covered plywood box with velvet-padded lid. The box also contains an oblong slab of stainless steel, possibly used as a palette.
