Badge issued by Leningrad Palace of Labour, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, pre 1984. The Palace of Labour was similar to Australia's Trades Hall.
Part of collection of badges collected by Jim Cooper, a veteran member of the Building Workers' Industrial Union (NSW Branch) and Union and political activist before his death in 1984. His daughter passed the badges on to Alf Zeeno, ex-secretary of the BWIU, with a request that they be donated to the museum.
Physical Description
Rectangular white metal metal badge, with image of the building of the Leningrad Palace of Labour. There is a hammer and sickle n the top left corner, and text in top right corner. There is a red border underneath the image of the building.
