The badge displays the Seal of Bandung, the capital of West Java, Indonesia.The first Asian-African Conference, also known as the Bandung Conference was hosted in Bandung by President Sukarno in 1955. Date of the badge is unknown.
Part of collection of badges collected by Jim Cooper, a veteran member of the Building Workers' Industrial Union (NSW Branch) and Union and political activist before his death in 1984. His daughter passed the badges on to Alf Zeeno, ex-secretary of the BWIU, with a request that they be donated to the museum.

Shield shaped badge with yellow background, and a black castle rampart in centre. Above this is a green rectangle, and below, grey and blue stylized water. Text in black oblong at top.
