Includes information about the activities of the various branches operating within the Geelong Band of Hope Union. The Union was celebrating the centenary of the first meeting of a Band of Hope in England in 1847. The booklet includes photographs of entrants in the Band of Hope 'Queen' competition, pictures of basketball teams, and lists of activities of participating branches. It also includes requests for parcels of food for Britain.

Branches of the Band of Hope represented in the booklet include Central Band of Hope (meeting in the Band of Hope building, Ryrie Street; East Geelong Congregational Band of Hope, Prince Alfred Junior I.O.R.(meeting in the Sons of Temperamce Hall), Herne Hill Methodist Band of Hope; Reorganised Church o Latter Day Saints Band of Hope; Protestant Orphanage Band of Hope, and 2 OST.
