This stamp was issued by Australia Post in 1978, as part of a series of four stamps celebrating the Australian Racing Industry, particularly horses that had won the Melbourne Cup. Phar Lap won the race in 1930.

Physical Description
Rectangular paper postage stamp with a coloured image of the race horse Phar Lap being ridden by a jockey. The stamp has a serrated edge around all sides. Printed text in black ink. Reverse of stamp is coated in an adhesive.
