Cardboard badge or ticket in the shape of a map of mainland Australia, supporting the continuation of a 44 hour week. Made by Union Label Printing Trades.
The 44 hour week comprised 5 and a half 8 hour days. In1920 the 44 hour week was awarded to timber workers and engineers in Victoria, and by 1939 the 44 hour week applied to all industries. In 1948 the 5 day 40 hour week appliled to all workers.
