Badge produced for the Australian Labor Party (A.L.P.) for the election campaign in 1974. Federal elections were held in Australia on 18 May 1974. The Australian Labor Party was victorious. However, the Labor Government lost power on 11 November, 1975 in the event known as 'The Dismissal'.
Part of collection of badges collected by Jim Cooper, a veteran member of the Building Workers' Industrial Union (NSW Branch) and Union and political activist before his death in 1984. His daughter passed the badges on to Alf Zeeno, ex-secretary of the BWIU, with a request that they be donated to the museum.

Round plastic badge with metal face and lockable pin on the back. Back is white. Front has black background with orange and white text.
