Summary
Badge issued by Kaliningrad State University (K.S.U.) to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Lenin in 1870, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R.), The University is now called the Kaliningrad State and Technical University(K.S.T.U.)and is now in Russia. Kaliningrad was formerly part of Germany, when it was known as Königsberg.
Part of collection of badges collected by Jim Cooper, a veteran member of the Building Workers' Industrial Union (NSW Branch) and Union and political activist before his death in 1984. His daughter passed the badges on to Alf Zeeno, ex-secretary of the BWIU, with a request that they be donated to the museum.
Physical Description
Rectangular red and silver badge, thin metal, with a picture of a building and a profile of Lenin on the front. Tiny silver-coloured pin on the back.
