Summary
Badge made for the Australian Railways Union by Podger and Simpson. This is one of a series of badges collected over a fifteen year period, when the donor undertook much research in the field of Trade Union material culture, and had extensive contact with the Trade Union Movement Australia wide. The Australian Railways Union was formed in 1921. In 1993 the ARU merged with other unions to form the Australian Rail Tram & Bus Industry Union.
