Part of a collection of badges acquired by the donor over 15-year period, during which he undertook much research in the field of trade union material culture, and had extensive contact with the trade union movement Australia-wide.
Physical Description
Oval metal button with fixed clip on the back with a crown on the top. Raised metal border, raised lettering on a horse shoe shape, thin raise d border. Date at the top star, coat of arms, kangaroo and emu either side of the shield, banner beneath this. Number stamped into the bottom. Manufacturers name stamped onto the back. Square piece of metal with hole in int soldered at a right angle to the back.
