The Association was formed in 1909 from the state organisations. It was registered in 1911, and amalgamated in 1919 with the Operative Painters & Decorators Union of Australia. Badge produced by the union for distribution to financial members.
Physical Description
Oval-shaped brass badge with ornate loop for suspension on top. Blue enamel border with gold-coloured text. White enamel centre with gold-coloured tools, including paintbrushes and scissors. At lower edge, another white enamel section represents an artist's palette with more paintbrushes . Text stamped on reverse.
