Summary
Alternative Name: Button
Badge issued at union and other public rallies following the election of a Liberal Government in Victoria on 3rd October 1992. Inheriting massive budgetary blow-outs, Kennett implemented radical budget cuts across all portfolios.
This badge was in fact produced for union rallies against Labor (Kirner) Government budget cuts in the public sector, but was recycled for use following the election of the Kennett Government. The word under the sticker reads "BUDGET". An example of unions economising as well! Jeff Kennett AC was the 43rd Premier of Victoria between 1992 and 1999.
Physical Description
Tin-plate button with printed paper and plastic enclosure, with lapel pin attached to back. White sticker adhered to front of badge.
